Chennai Half Marathon
Men & Women open to all above 18 years - 21.09 Km
Distance of the race: 21.09 Kms
Starting time: 6.30 a.m
Route: Run will start outside Island ground (war memorial)
at Kamarajar Salai / Marina Beach Road.
Participants to assemble in Island ground.
Start at War Memorial - go straight on to Nappier bridge -
towards Anna Square, go pass labour statue, Gandhi statue -
go straight towards light house, pass Santhome basilica,
foreshore estate - straight towards Iyappan temple at
greenways road, pass Jesus call centre – keep left towards
Adayar bridge - straight towards Adayar Aavin milk depot -
go straight towards Theosophical society (banyan tree) -
take left towards Rajaji Bhavan - go straight -turn towards
right - go straight towards Vailankanni Church- take a U
turn at Vailankkani church and run towards Theosophical
society - Adayar bridge - take the right of greenways road
- straight towards foreshore estate - towards Santhome -
pass light house and finish at Gandhi statue.
All GiveLife Chennai Marathon runners are required to
assemble at 6.00 am before the start of the race at War
memorial on August 31, 2008.

MARG I Love Chennai - The Great Chennai Run
Men & Women open to all above 14 years - 7 Km
Distance of the race: 7 Kms
Starting time: 8.00 a.m
Route: Run will start outside Island ground on the
Kamarajar Salai / Marina Beach Road.
Participants to assemble in Island ground.
Start - Island ground – go straight and take immediate left
towards Anna Salai – go pass Monroe statue – Periyar statue
– turn left at Swami Sivananda Salai (Doordharshan road) –
turn right towards Anna square – go straight towards light
house and take a U turn – go straight on the beach road –
finish at Gandhi statue.
All runners participating in the Great Chennai Run will be
lined up at 7.30 am before the start of the race on August
31 2008.

MARG Juniors Chennai Run
Boys & Girls below 16 years - 7 Km
Distance of the race: 7 Kms

Participants to assemble in Island ground.
Start at War Memorial – go straight on to Nappier bridge –
towards Anna Square, go pass labour statue, finish at
Mahatma Gandhi statue.
All Senior Citizens participants are required to assemble
at War Memorial at 8.30 am before the start of the race on
August 31st 2008.

MARG Wheel Chair Run
Differently abled for wheel chair participants - 500 metres
All wheel chair runners participating in the great Chennai
run will be lined up at 07.00 a.m before the start of the
