Chennai Sangamam is
India's biggest city festival. A combination of folk-music,
art, dance, food reflecting the culture of Tamilnadu
performed by over 2600 performers! across the city that
culminates in the final day.
The event is
centered around Pongal, the
festival of harvest.
The lead event is
conceptualized and also organized by Tamil Maiyam, a
pre-eminent non-profit trust in Chennai. The Department of
Tourism and Culture of the Government of Tamil Nadu are the
major patrons.
