Terms and Conditions for issuing Entry permits
First : General Conditions for issue of
the Entry Permits
Under the sponsorship of commercial companies,
establishments and banks under the Labour Law
1. A work permit attested by the ministry of
labour plus a passport copy of the sponsored
person.
2. Valid establishment card (Original + copy)
3. A Fee of Dhs.100/-
Entry Permits for employment under sponsorship
of the government departments, Semi Governments
Ministries and Diplomatic Missions and General
Consulates. :
1. Application of entry Permit to be stamped and
signed by the sponsor or th person authorized to
sign
2. Passport copy of the sponsored person
3. Valid Establishment Card(Original + Copy )
4. In Case of Sponsorships by the Diplomatic
missions: The application for the entry permit
for employment, sponsored by the embassies and
general consulates, must be attested by the
ministry of foreign affairs.
5. A Fee of Dhs. 100/-
Entry Permits for Employment (Domestic servants)
Under the sponsorship of Local
National
1. Entry permit application form stamped &
signed by the sponsor
2. Passport copy of the sponsored person
3. Passport copy of the sponsor
4. Nationality Registration extract ( Incase of
First time sponsorship as to make sure of the
number if the family members)
5. Two photographs of the sponsored employee
6. In the case of sponsoring a farmer, a map of
the farm is required to know it's area or the
farm card issued by the ministry of agriculture
and fisheries wealth.
7. In case of sponsorship of a watchman the
buildings title deed is required provided that
the building is Commercial/Residential
+Attestation from the Civil defense Authority.
8. In Case of sponsorship of shepherds, the
livestock card issued by the Ministry of
Agriculture and Fisheries wealth is required.
9. Fees for issue of the permit Dhs 100/-
10. The Naturalization and Residency Department
will not issue an Entry Permit for employment as
an exchange for missing sponsored persons of the
categories not included in the Law for Work
Relationships prior to passing of 3 months from
date of reporting the absence.
Under sponsorship of the Nationals of the GCC:
1. The tenancy contract to prove that the family
is resident of the country.
2. Photocopies of the health Cards of the
members of the family
3. School certificates of the children
4. Fee for issuing entry permits
Under sponsorship of Expatriates
1. Entry permit form signed by the sponsor in
addition two photographs.
2. Copy of the passport of the sponsored person.
3. Salary should be certified & attested by the
authorized official in the country.
4. The sponsor's salary should not be less than
(6000 six thousand) Dirhams.
5. The sponsor should not have a servant within
one year precedent to the date of submitting the
application.
6. The sponsor and sponsored should not be
related
7. The Naturalization and Residency Department
will not issue an entry permit for employment as
an exchange for missing Work relationships prior
to passing 3 months from date of reporting the
absence.
8. A Fee of Dhs 100/- .
Entry Permits for Employment (for investors &
shareholders)
1. Entry permit Application stamped by the
company and signed by the sponsor or hos
representative
2. Copy of passport of the sponsored person
3. Copy of the Valid trade license
4. A Letter from the Economic Department showing
names of the partners.
5. Original partnership contract attested by the
Notary public.
6. Issuing Fee.
Second: General conditions for issue of the
Entry permits (VISIT)
1. Entry Permit Application signed by the
sponsor.
2. The visitor should have a valid passport or
accredited travel document to enter the country
and return ticket to his country of residence or
the country from which the passport or travel
document issued and the validity of the passport
or travel document should not be less than three
months.
Personal Sponsorship
Under Sponsorship of Nationals :
1. Passport copy of the sponsor & sponsored.
2. Attach evidence of relationship.
Under Sponsorship of GCC Nationals :
Nationals of GCC countries may sponsor their
foreign wife for a visit provided that she has a
valid residence permit in the country of the
husband's nationality.
Under Sponsorship of Expatriates :-
1. The Visitor should be the husband or wife or
children .In this case the salary should be
Dhs.3000 + Accommodations or Dhs.4000/- and
above.
2. In Case the sponsor is a partner or investor,
copy of the partnership agreement attested by
Notary public.
3. Attach proof of relationship.
Under Company's Sponsorship :
1. Entry permit application with company stamp
and signed by the sponsor or an authorized
person for signature.
2. Passport copy of the sponsored person.
3. Valid establishment card (Original + Copy)
4. P.R.O's valid card (Original + Copy)
5. Issuing Fee
Under Sponsorship of Embassies:
1. Entry permit application form accompanied by
a letter from the ministry of foreign affairs,
signed by the sponsor.
2. Passport copy of the sponsored person.
3. Copy of the establishment card.
4. Issuing Fee.
Extension of entry Permits for Visit:
The visit will be extended by the department for
entry permits within 60 days from date of entry
and a coupon is issued for the extension and
fixed to the original passport and will be
considered valid for 30 days .
Requirements:
1. The original entry permit.
2. The original passport.
3. Fee for extending the Visit (500/-) Dirhams.
Third: Multiple entry Visas
A- This visa is granted by the Naturalization
and Residency department and the diplomatic
missions abroad, to the foreigner whose nature
of work and his relation with one of the public
or private companies operating within the
country necessitate his repeated trips to the
country.
The multi entry permit allows it's holder to
enter the country several times within six
months from the date f issue and stay each time
for a maximum period of thirty days.
The multi entry permit application for the
foreigner is submitted directly to the
Naturalization and Residency department in
accordance to the following terms and
conditions.
1. The sponsored person must have entered the
country by a visa or entry permit to the
country.
2. The application should be attached with a
letter from the sponsoring party in the country
showing the nature of it's relations with the
sponsored and the purpose of entry.
3. The visa is given in accordance to the
accredited form by fixing it to the foreigner's
passport or travel document after payment of the
official fees.
In case of Drivers:
1. Entry permit signed by the sponsor or an
authorized person for signature. Original
passport and original entry permit with which he
entered the country in addition to four
photographs.
2. Records of imported merchandise incase of
lorry drivers.
3. Copy of the vehicle's registration card.
4. Copy of the valid Establishment card.
5. The multi entry permits affixed on the
sponsored person's passport.
6. Fees for multi entry Permit (1000/-) dirhams.
Fourth: Entry permits for Tourism
1. In accordance to the forms prepared for that
purpose after completing all the records.
2. A fee of Dhs.100/- per person.
Entry permits For Residence
Applications for entry permits for residence of
foreigners are submitted to the Naturalization
and Residency Department through forms prepared
for that purpose after filling in all the
required documents and records for each
application and the following procedures will be
followed:
1. To accompany the Head of the Family.
2. To join a parent or Guardian.
3. To study at one of the Universities, colleges
or institutes.
4. TO join a training or professional course at
one of the public establishments or institutes.
5. To the foreigner whose local husband has
deceased or divorced her , provided that she has
children of him .
6. To the parents of a national who hold foreign
passports.
7. To the husband and children of a national who
hold foreign passports.
8. To the wives of nationals of GCC countries
who are foreigners if he is licensed for them
for valid residency in the country of his
nationality provided there is vice versa
treatment.
9. Foe family members of foreign women who work
in rare or important specialties such as
medicine, engineering or teaching and the like
of specialties mentioned in part F of the Fourth
Section of Article(23) of this list if the
sponsorship conditions are fulfilled.
Conditions required for issue of the residence
entry visa to accompany the head of the family
1) Application for the residence entry permit
signed by the sponsor.
2) The sponsor must have a valid residence visa.
3) The salary must be Dhs.3000/- + Accommodation
or Dhs.4000/- or above as per the Decree of the
cabinet ministers.
4) If the sponsor works in a government office,
he must submit a valid and attested salary
certificate.
5) Valid passport photocopy of the sponsored
person.
6) The original marriage certificate + copy
thereof provided that it shall be attested from
the UAE ministry of foreign affairs.
7) The head of the family has the right to
obtain entry permit for his sons below 18yrs and
his unmarried daughters.
8) A fee of Dhs.100/-.
The following categories are exempted from the
salary condition, they may have their families
accompany them.
1) Teachers.
2) Imams of Mosques.
3) Drivers of the buses used for the transport
of students of school's universities, colleges
and higher studies.
a. The same conditions apply to a foreign
working lady who practices an exceptional
profession if she sponsors her family in case of
absence of the head of the family.
The following two categories of the foreigners
are not allowed to sponsor or recruit a
foreigner even if they satisfy the salary
conditions:
1) Domestic servants and the like
2) Labourer's and the like.
Conditions required for the partner or investor
to obtain entry permit for the residence for his
family
1) Entry permit application for residence signed
by the sponsor.
2) The partner should have a valid residency
permit
3) Valid copy of the sponsored passport
4) The original marriage certificate attested by
embassy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of
the country + it's copy.
5) Copy of the UAE trade license.
6) Copy of the certificate to whom the it may
concern , issued by the Economic Department
(names of partners)
7) The contract of original establishment + a
copy of, provided that the share of each partner
is not less than Dhs,70,000/-.
8) In respect of the professional and industrial
licenses, the partner is required to submit a
bank guarantee for Dhs.70,000/- or scientific
qualification in the same profession or activity
of the license and that employees of the
corporation shall not be less than fifteen.
9) A fee of dhs.100/-.
Transfer of Sponsorship
1) Passport copy of the new sponsor, original
passport of the sponsored along with the
sponsorship transfer form signed by the previous
sponsor and the present sponsor.
2) Marriage certificate in case of transfer of
residence from father to husband, and it should
be attested.
3) Salary certificate if the sponsor works for a
government department of the Labour contract as
per Decree of Cabinet of Ministry.
4) Issuing fee.
