Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University
As the world's largest independent aeronautical university,
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University takes the lead in meeting the
education needs of aviation
and aerospace professionals worldwide. The
university, through its Extended Campus, offers degree programs
through the master's level to more than 18,000 students annually
throughout the United States and the world.
Our online programs serve students whose schedule or geographic
location prevents them from attending regularly scheduled classes at a
residential campus or teaching center. The programs support and
connect students in a learning community through web-based support
groups, e-mail discussion forums, an online help desk and online
bookstores. Many of our distance learners find the interaction with
faculty and among students to be greater than in traditional
classrooms.
Associate or Bachelor of Science in Professional Aeronautics
If you have experience as a pilot, air traffic controller or aviation
maintenance specialist, this is the program for you. The professional
aeronautics curriculum includes courses of study that complement and
build on all types of aviation backgrounds. Newcomers with a
commitment to aviation will find the professional aeronautics degree
to be an invaluable stepping-stone into this exciting and rewarding
field.
You’ll be able to tailor the program to your personal background and
interests by choosing an area of concentration from the following:
-
Aeronautical science
-
Air traffic control
-
Aviation history
-
Aviation maintenance
-
Management
-
Safety
Embry-Riddle’s professional aeronautics programs are designed for
those who are ready to take their careers to greater heights. Many of
our graduates have gone on to management positions at their companies.
Others have used their degrees to earn positions as airline pilots,
airport managers, sales engineers and meteorologists at some of the
world’s foremost aviation companies.
Master of Aeronautical Science
Students appreciate the Master of Aeronautical Science (MAS) program's
solid core of classes, partnered with a range of specialties that are
tailored to individual interests. You'll master the tools needed in
the development, manufacture and operation of aircraft and spacecraft
and gain a comprehensive understanding of the infrastructure that
supports the industry. MAS graduates have used their degrees to secure
positions ranging from Superintendent of Operations at Los Angeles
International Airport to Chief of Weapons Safety in the United States
Air Force.
Whether you're a pilot, an educator, an air traffic controller or
otherwise involved in the wide-ranging spectrum of aviation -- an MAS
degree can open doors, often positioning graduates for a move into
supervisory or management positions. |
