Reliable for more than 50 years, PTI helps students move from the classroom to an internship, then to the workplace and a full-time job. Students choose from 13 Associate in Science degree programs ranging from Computer Aided Drafting, Computer Programming, Information Technology and Electronics Engineering Technology to a variety of medical, design and business programs. Conveniently located near major interstates, PTI is just 12 miles from downtown Pittsburgh and minutes from Pittsburgh International Airport.

Graduate Services

  • PTI's Graduate Services Department is dedicated to helping students and graduates find employment locally, regionally, and nationally.

  • Many PTI students accept jobs before they graduate, and most land full-time positions within weeks of graduation.

  • PTI offers unlimited placement to all graduates and free, brush-up classes to all alumni.

Quality Education

Financial Services

  • There is no application fee.

  • PTI's Financial Planners help new and current students apply for grants, loans and scholarships.

  • PTI does not increase tuition annually for in-school students.

  • PTI does not increase tuition for out-of-state students.

Computer Aided Drafting – Associate in Science Degree

Courses include Introduction to Drafting, Piping Drafting, Electronic Drafting, Mechanical Application Software, Civil/Topographical Drafting, Structural Drafting, Mechanical Drafting, Assembly Drafting, AutoCAD, MicroStation, 3-Dimensional CAD, Building Materials, Architectural Drafting, Statics & Strengths of Materials, Kinematics, Architectural Application Software, Civil Application Software, Presentation Techniques, Cost Estimation and more.

You also will complete a Computer Aided Drafting industry internship.

Information Technology – Associate in Science Degree

Network Administration
Courses include Computer Applications, Introduction to CISCO, Computer Concepts, Network Infrastructures/Active Directory, Database Applications, Network Security Technology, Desktop Operating Systems, Server Applications, Introduction to Network Operating Systems, Microsoft Network Operating Systems, Network Essentials, PC Hardware Technologies, UNIX Operating Systems, Computer Hardware Engineering, Computer Network Engineering and more

Network Security and Computer Forensics
Courses include Computer Applications, Introduction to CISCO, Computer Concepts, Introduction to Criminology, Database Applications, Intrusion Detection Systems, Desktop Operating Systems, Network Security Systems, Introduction to Network Operating Systems, WAN Communications, Microsoft Network Operating Systems, Network Essentials, PC Hardware Technologies, UNIX Operating Systems, Computer Forensics, Cybercrime, Psychology, Information Security Management

You also will complete an Information Technology industry internship.

Computer Programming – Associate in Science Degree

You also will complete a Computer Programming industry internship.

Electronics Engineering Technology – Associate in Science Degree
