Polytechnic University
Polytechnic University's world-class programs are built on a proud history of discovery and innovation. Intellectual energy is the fuel that drives our people and the content of our challenging academic programs.

The University is diverse, with programs ranging from biomedical engineering to Polytechnic University - ePolymanagement. Our students come from the New York metropolitan area, but also from all corners of the globe. Despite our diversity, a common thread of technological innovation weaves throughout every department and every member of the faculty. When you study here you become part of a community dedicated to delivering knowledge that can be immediately applied in research, technology, and business.

Online Master of Engineering
The Master of Engineering is intended for students seeking in-depth knowledge in fields requiring courses from multiple disciplines, especially disciplines taught by different academic departments. The degree meets the needs of professionals who must integrate knowledge from different technical, scientific, and management disciplines.

Online Master of Science in Bioinformatics
Bioinformatics is a new discipline of science that organizes and translates the overwhelming amount of data recently available on living organisms as a result of the human genome project and follow-up projects. This new branch of science requires comprehensive training in biology, chemistry and computer science. The Master of Science program in Bioinformatics prepares students for academia or the fast-paced pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries. The program includes a solid, carefully tailored curriculum of study that is designed to accommodate the needs of students holding Bachelor of Science degrees who wish to enter the Bioinformatics field. Individuals with advanced degrees that are employed in sectors that value such skill will also benefit from the curriculum.

Online Master of Science in Electrical Engineering
The Online Master of Science in Electrical Engineering program is designed for professionals that face limitations on their time and require a flexible and convenient setting. Three core courses, two one-year sequences and electives provide students with the opportunity to achieve both breadth and depth across a number of subdisciplines within electrical engineering. Students may choose a formal concentration in one of these subdivisions: Wireless Communications, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications and Networking, Signal Processing, Systems and Control, Electronics and VLSI, Fields and Waves, Plasma and Atmospheric Physics, and Power Systems and Energy concentration.

This online program is designed to expose students to the same challenging curriculum as our traditional MSEE program, but in a format that transcends the constraints of time and geography. Entrance criteria and degree requirements are identical to the program offered at Poly's Brooklyn campus and Long Island, and Westchester graduate centers. Students are conferred the degree of Master of Science and join the ranks of nearly 27,000 proud Poly alumni worldwide, and the accompanying respect and credential of an advanced degree.

Online Master of Science in Telecommunication Networks
Telecommunications is a rapidly growing field. From the military communications networks of the early 1950s, telecommunications technology has evolved to find applications in almost all areas of modern society including banking, reservation systems, office information systems, corporate networks and the Internet and World Wide Web. Recent challenges include gigabit optical networks, multimedia communications and wireless network access. The rapid evolution of telecommunications technology demands a broad educational background including today's technological breakthroughs. The online master's program in telecommunication networks contains a wide variety of courses ranging from fundamental topics to recent technological advances.

Certificate in Cyber Security
The demand for skilled information security professionals is growing significantly. This graduate certificate allows technical professionals to obtain key bodies of knowledge and specializations in Cyber Security. Students will acquire an understanding of various technologies in emerging areas of security like computer and network security, digital forensics, cryptography, and biometrics. Students will be able to immediately apply their knowledge to manage the risk of cyber attacks. Courses are developed and taught by Polytechnic University’s renowned faculty in the Information Systems and Internet Security (ISIS) Laboratory. Those who choose to work toward the master degree are able, upon admission, to apply all courses taken toward a certificate toward fulfillment of a degree program.

Certificate in Technical Communication: Documentation, Training, and New Media
The Graduate Certificate in Documentation, Training, and New Media addresses the need among professionals in the field to plan, write and evaluate effective hardware, software and systems documentation. By mastering the principles of human computer interaction and applying them to your writing in both traditional and new media, this series of courses will prepare you to create user manuals, on-line help systems, content management systems, and hypertext user guides and then test them for usability. A certificate program requires five courses, which are selected according to individual needs. Those who choose to work toward the master’s degree are able, upon admission, to apply all courses taken toward a certificate toward fulfillment of a degree program.

Certificate in Telecommunication Network Management
The explosive growth of data networks has brought with it the need for effective network management. The widespread deployment of standards-based solutions (e.g. SNMP) is but a first step in design with the complexity of network management. A thorough knowledge of network protocols and network management standards is necessary for any practitioner in these areas. Those who choose to work toward the master degree are able, upon admission, to apply all courses taken toward a certificate toward fulfillment of a degree program.

Certificate in Wireless Communications
Wireless telecommunication has experienced remarkable growth since the introduction of cellular telephones. With licensing of the FCC of spectrum for Personal Communication Services (PCS) and other services such as wireless LAN, wireless local loop, wireless PDA and the emerging wireless Internet, the growth rate is expected to increase even further. This graduate certificate provides those with an EE background the specific knowledge they need to work in this expanding market. Those who choose to work toward the master degree are able, upon admission, to apply all courses taken toward a certificate toward fulfillment of a degree program.
