Portland State University
Portland State University,
a nationally acclaimed leader in
community-based learning, is located along the tree-lined
South Park Blocks of downtown Portland. The University's
position in the heart of Oregon's economic and cultural center
enables PSU students and faculty to apply scholarly theory to
the real-world problems of business and community
organizations.
Why Choose Portland State University?
Marketability
Our graduates are a key resource for Northwest technology
firms, and PSU is one of the biggest suppliers of talent to
Intel corporation nationwide. According to Intel Vice
President Youssef El-Mansy, “PSU graduates come out ready to
contribute; the high-tech industry doesn’t need to spend years
training them.”
Real-World Experience
By teaming with regional industry and government, our faculty
keep the curriculum current and prepare PSU students to make
an immediate contribution to the workplace through
participation in capstone design projects, internships, and
research opportunities.
High Quality Education
PSU engineering graduates stand out among the most capable in
the nation with a 93% pass rate on the Fundamentals of
Engineering exam. With a national pass-rate average of 80%,
CECS students continue to outperform students from other
accredited engineering schools.
