Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems
The Computer Information Systems program focuses on solving problems
and managing organizational resources. Through a balanced curriculum
of computer hardware, software, system design, and communications,
students will develop a solid understanding of the current and future
computer information needs of an organization. Graduates of this
program are prepared for careers in systems analysis & design,
software engineering, database management, project management, and
workflow analysis & design.
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
This Computer Science program
prepares students for a career in systems analysis and design,
computer programming, project management, or management information
systems. Students develop skills and knowledge in the areas of
computer architecture, object-oriented analysis and design, software
engineering, workflow analysis, and business processes. Course and
laboratory work offer students the means to achieve recognized mastery
of computer information technology concepts and their application to
real-world problems.
Bachelor of Science in Computer Networking
The Computer Networking program is designed for those requiring
specialized skills and knowledge in computer
networking/telecommunications. Classes are designed to give the
student a firm understanding of computer networks, planning, design
and management.
The program prepares students for a career in information technology
emphasizing computer networks, network analysis, and network design.
Through a balanced curriculum of computer hardware, software,
architecture, and communications, students will develop a solid
understanding of how to design, manage, and maintain
computer-networking systems, including LAN, WAN, and enterprise
networks. Graduates of this program are prepared to assume roles as a
network administrator or analyst, network designer, system analyst, or

Master of Science in
Computer Information Technology
The MSCIT program was developed in partnership with Sun Microsystems,
Inc. ™ and through an Academic Alliance with ORACLE ™ Corporation.
This innovative program prepares students to meet the present and
future technological and management challenges of an organization,
implement leading-edge technologies, and discover innovative solutions
to business problems. Emphasis areas are available in Database
Technology, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, and Executive
Information Technologies. The curriculum is designed to provide a
solid foundation in computer hardware and software, systems design,
communications, and project/team management skills for the rapidly
changing IT industry.
Master of Science in Software and Information Systems
This 36-credit-hour, 12-module, online program is offered jointly by
Regis University and the National University of Ireland, Galway. This
innovative program provides students with the necessary professional
skills, conceptual frameworks, methods, technologies and hands-on
experience of software development as a basis for a career in the IT
industry. The program also includes specialized knowledge of specific
IT topics and provides students with an opportunity to develop
advanced research and/or development skills. Graduates of this program
are likely to enter research and development careers within the
software industry or in a broad range of other sectors. The academic
content is provided equally by both institutions and draws on the
strengths and expertise of both institutions within the Information
and Communication Technology (ICT) area.

Software Engineering
Covering topics ranging from Software Requirements, Processes,
Quality, Testing and Configuration Management, this program is
designed for the student that wants a comprehensive knowledge in
software engineering topics. Emphasis will be placed on modern
software development technologies and techniques such as
Object-Oriented Design; the use of Middleware; and Enterprise Design
Patterns. This program will provide today's software engineer with the
knowledge to add value to the organization through the use of ideas
learned in this program. The certificate also provides specific
instruction in the Java and C++ programming languages.
Systems Engineering
Due to the movement from server-centric data to data-centric networks,
there is a need to identify systems architectures that are reliable,
sustainable and extensible. Upon completion of this certificate the
student will master the service orientation architecture required to
design, build and implement data center operations from data hosting
best practices to application serving on the Web.
