Clinical Trials for Mesothelioma Cure New
mesothelioma
treatments are being evaluated in mesothelioma clinical trials, and we all hope for a mesothelioma cure.
Mesothelioma clinical
trials are research studies that evaluate new mesothelioma treatments for safety, effectiveness and through the research that is
acquired will one day result in a mesothelioma cure. There are no guarantees that a treatment offered through a mesothelioma
clinical trial will work, and because the treatments are in the trial stage, there are some risks. However, a mesothelioma
clinical trial is not undertaken unless the researchers believe the treatment may have some value.
Each particular trial
will have guidelines by which an applicant's eligibility is determined. Factors such as the current Stage of a patient's
mesothelioma, the previous treatments used and the presence of other diseases or physical conditions will be considered. It is
always necessary to contact the Clinical Trial directly and ask for eligibility requirements and additional information.
Following is a list of Clinical Trials that are currently searching mesothelioma patients that match the trial's eligibility
criteria. The Clinical Trials are organized by state, although most trials are conducted on an out-patient basis. However, the
monitoring and check-up requirements of Clinical Trials generally limit a mesothelioma patient to participation in a program
close to home because of the expense and stress of frequent travel. There are also ongoing Clinical Trials at many of the
Comprehensive Cancer Centers.
