
It was an eve of entertainment, music,
dance and fashion, and an entirely new experience for the
contestants, as they say. The Thinking Man was unearthed at
Kamaraj Hall and the audience witnessed a bunch of young
professionals at their best, shooting out their answers to
win the crown of Bajaj Pulsar Man 2002. The final round
question was "Behind every successful man, there is a
woman, they say. Is there a man behind every successful
woman". M R Vikram from Chennai bagged the crown Bajaj
Pulsar Man 2002 for his simple and well framed answer - "A
man and woman, both are the same and no one is better than
the other. Without man or woman, evolution of the human
race would stop. Without each other, they are just empty
vessels and the world as we know would come to an end. So
they have to depend on each other and it's the way God
intended". Dhruv Singh from Mumbai and Harsha Nair from
Chennai won the first runner up and second runner up
respectively.
Out of the nine contestants, the
final six were selected based on the first two rounds. the
first round had a common question to all the contestants of
which they were informed earlier. "Given the power and
authority, What are the things you would like to change
about India"? The nine contestants came out with practical
and feasible solutions. The second round was Rapid Fire
Round where the contestants were put on a hot seat and 10
questions from the topic of their own interest was fired to
them. The topics of the contestants varied from aviation to
cricket to films to mythology. The final six were selected
after these two rounds.
The evening would not have been better without Hot Shoe
Dance Company's Batman & Poison Ivy' a colorful
presentation. The contestants along with the Hot Shoe
dancers kicked off the show with 'karmic jazz', a mixture
of kalaripayattu and jazz. The emcees for the show were
Megha, leading model, Anurithi, reigning Miss Chennai and
Laisa, TV newsreader. The Judges for the event were Mr.Hari
Bhaskar, former Chief Secretary, Government of Tamil Nadu,
Mr.KeshavH HR consultant, Ms Gautami, film personality, Ms
Gayathri Jayaram, model turned actress and Ms Nina Reddy,
director of Hotel Savera. A wonderful audience was all
cheers for the contestants. Altogether, it was an enjoyable
show with a difference.
SUB - EVENTS
October 21st witnessed the revelation of talent, confidence
and fitness of the body as a part of sub events of Bajaj
Pulsar MAN 2002 at Samavesh Hall, Hotel Savera. The sub
events included Mr.Charming/Talent, Mr.Perfect Body, and
Mr.Confident/Cool. The talent round saw the contestants
exhibiting their talents to woo the princess. The princess
of the day was Ms.Sharmilee, the model and actress in the
making Mr.Dhruv Singh was crowned Mr.Charming/talent. To
the question of "what women expects from a man - intimacy,
passion or commitment and if all, in which order", there
came the confident reply from Mr.Hemanth "Commitment,
intimacy and then passion where each of these depends on
one another" and he took away the title of Mr.Confident/Cool.
Vikram was crowned Mr.Perfect body. The judges for the
event were Mr.Keshav, HR consultant, Ms Aruna Vishwanathan,
management trainee consultant, Ms Ameeta Agnihotri,
freelance journalist, Mr.Thomas Varghese, professional
photographer, Ms.Sharmilee, the celebrity and Mr.Arun who
had won Mr.Tamil Nadu ten times, To add spice to the entire
show, there was an exclusive fashion round of lantern
attire designed by Neema and Shiv Thandavam by Aarti and
dancers.

Treasure Hunt / Road Rally
A treasure hunt/ road rally was conducted on 20th where the
contestants drove through the city of Chennai hunting for
treasure at various points. Mr.Congeniality was crowned at
Spark, the latest happening night club of Hotel Savera.
Harsha Nair and Dhruv Singh won Mr.Congeniality, Ms.Sandhya,
the star in the Five Star movie crowned the winners.
