The Shankaracharya of Kanchi Jayendra Saraswati, has
reportedly confessed his involvement in the murder of temple
manager Sankarraman.

According to reports, the Kanchi seer made this confession to
the police during interrogation.
The Prosecution has submitted an affidavit in court in this
regard.
Appearing on behalf of the Prosecution, Senior counsel from
Delhi, K T S Tulsi informed the court that the "Kancheepuram
Sankaracharya had broken down and confessed to his
involvement."
The Shankaracharya is under arrest in the Vellore jail as the
prime accused in the murder of the temple manager.
He also faces charges of an attempt to murder a local auditor
and former devotee of Kanchi mutt.
Bail plea adjourned
Meanwhile, the Madras High Court has adjourned the bail
plea of the Shankaracharya till tomorrow.

Investigating assault case
The other bail hearing has also been adjourned till tomorrow
by the Sessions court.
The police are also now investigating a third case of assault
involving the Shankaracharya.
