(Chennai):
AIADMK MLA K Sudarsanam was today shot dead at his residence
in Tiruvallur.
He represented Gumidipoondi in Tiruvalllur district.
Police said that the MLA was shot dead by a gang of six
unidentified assailants after he came out of his house,
apparently on hearing some noise outside at around 2.30 am (IST).
The gang then attacked and injured Satish, the MLA's son, and
locked him in a room before decamping with the cash and
jewellery.
Senior police officers, including the Inspector General of
Police, R Jangid, rushed to the spot and investigations were
on. (PTI)
