Delhi):
A meeting of top NDA leaders will be held in New Delhi today
to discuss the alliance's strategy in Parliament.
The NDA is likely to discuss the suggestion for moving a
no-confidence motion against Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath
Chatterjee.
Both BJP President L K Advani and NDA Convenor George
Fernandes have indicated that they are no more in favour of
such a move after the centre intervened in forming the
government in Jharkhand.
SC directive
The opposition alliance is keenly watching whether Chatterjee
plans to go ahead with his April 20 meeting of Assembly
Speakers to discuss the Supreme Court directive on Jharkhand
assembly issue.
The NDA meeting will take place at the residence of former
Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
