New Delhi: The French Embassy
here today announced opening of new visa application centres
in Mumbai and Chennai, besides New Delhi, to enable Indian
residents submit visa application forms across the counter.
Now applicants residing in NCT, West Bengal, Haryana,
Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Punjab, Jammu and
Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Jharkhand,
Orissa, the seven Northeastern states, Sikkim and Chandigarh,
wishing to apply for French visa, would be required to apply
after taking prior appointment at the Embassy's visa
application centre.
The application centres will be open from 0800 hrs till 1200
hrs and from 1300 hrs to 1600 hrs. Applicants can have their
passports sent by courier to them or collect them between
1700 hrs and 1800 hrs, a French Embassy spokesman said here.
