Railway Minister Lalu Prasad
Yadav on Tuesday sought the Supreme Court's permission to
'communicate' to it 'in confidence' his apprehensions on the
composition of a Patna high court bench that will hear his
petition challenging sanction for his prosecution in a
disproportionate assets case.
The apex court, while asking the high court to constitute a
bench headed by Justice Aftab Alam, said the name of the
other judge would be added later.
Justice Chandramauli Kumar Prasad was named as the second
judge of the bench that was asked to dispose of Lalu's
petition.
Lalu said he had no objection to Justice Alam being part of
the bench. He said it was true his counsel did not object
when one of the two names was mentioned.
