The Web Graphics Designer Master Certificate Program
provides students with a solid grounding in the tools and
skills of computer-generated design, to be utilized in
both print and web based projects. In addition to
emphasizing technical proficiency, essential concepts such
design theory and design methodology are integrated.
Students will be given the opportunity to generate a
digital portfolio comprised of several print-based
projects, and a fully functional website grounded in the
basics of effective graphical user interface design. This
portfolio will evolve through student participation in
instructor-led 'real world' design scenarios. Extensive
discussion and demonstration of industry relevant tools
and techniques will be applied within a 'hands-on'
training environment. Students will be challenged to
develop projects that combine traditional creative
approaches to documents, with high-end graphics editing,

Web Multimedia Designer
The Web Design Master Certificate Program allows students
to explore the concepts for developing the structure of a
Web site, and the tools that allow for the expansion and
enhancement of the graphical user interface.
The Graphics Essentials module presents the formal
elements of typography, color, industry practices, and
idea generation, as well as the development of
professional attitudes and approaches to problem solving.

E-Commerce Development with Cold Fusion
In the last five years the business done over the World
Wide Web has grown exponentially. However, the very nature
of the Web is such that every company large or small can
participate in this new business environment. This program
will teach the student how they can build their own
E-commerce Web site using Allaire's ColdFusion.
Throughout the two-week program students will have direct
hands on experience with the practical steps needed to
design and develop such a site. At the same time students
will also be discussing many of the issues surrounding the
implementation and maintenance of an E-Business. Topics
discussed will range from hosting issues, to marketing
strategies. The program is fast paced, much more so than
the Web Developer Program, and assumes students have at
least basic skills in ColdFusion, SQL and HTML.
This is a two-week day program or approximately a 6-week
part-time evening program.
