Laser Soft is a software product
company, with a focus on development of products for the
Banking and Financial Service sectors, since 1986.The product
offerings cover the entire range of Banking Operations and
that includes Core Banking and 24 other specialised products,
covering the entire gamut of banking activities.
Laser Soft commitment to deliver products and services to
improve the effectiveness of its customers' business is what
makes it different from others. It is this commitment that
enabled Laser Soft to deploy successfully their solutions in
thousands of installations spread over a large customer base.
Mr. Suresh B Kamath, an M Tech in computer science from IIT,
in his endeavour to entrepreneurial success started the
company in the year 1986, with a small group of
professionals. To him success germinated in the minds of
people and their commitment to make customers' happy. His
desire to achieve this stemmed on his belief that convergence
of people skills and their minds can conceive and achieve
success.
Laser - an acronym for convergence of light beam through
stimulated emission fascinated Mr.Kamath. Convergence of
minds in an environment of stimulated motivation became his
mantra to achieve success. Laser Soft was thus able to
attract people from larger and better-known organizations to
join in this endeavour to success. The organization was thus
named Laser Soft Infosystems.
Laser Soft's products and solutions offerings are unique as
compared to others, due to the fact that they can be
customized exactly to suit the customer requirements. This is
a value addition, which no other banking software product
company offers. This has provided tremendous advantage to
Laser Soft's customers and they are able to derive the
benefit of automation immediately and with total end user
compatibility.
Laser Soft had a strong process orientation from the
beginning and constantly strives to build quality into the
products and services offered. Every member realizes the
difference between effort put in and the Value that it offers
to the Customer. Laser Soft team has a passion for
excellence, which is all about doing every little thing as
well as it can be done. This helped to get the ISO 9001: 2000
certification from BVQI. Efforts are on to get the SEI-CMM
Level 4 certification.
Laser Soft with its registered office in India at Chennai
(Madras); the capital of the southern Indian state called
Tamilnadu, has six development centres located at Chennai
(Madras)[3], Bangalore, Hyderabad and Mangalore. The Research
& Development facility at Chennai is the focal point for
developing and testing new product ideas. There is also a
well-equipped training centre in Chennai (Madras), which in
addition to imparting technical and soft skills training to
their employees organizes user-training programs for its
customers.
Today, after 19 years Laser Soft has evolved to become the
third most important player in the Indian Banking Software
industry. With over 5000 installations in India and Overseas,
Laser Soft is today handling four Core Banking projects both
in India and Overseas. They are today poised to scale greater
heights in the international markets, having mastered the art
of providing comprehensive banking software solutions where
technology is deployed to drive the business goals of a bank.
