the leading female Carnatic vocalist today, Sudha
Raghunathan received her training from her mother Sreemathi
Choodamani, the late B.V. Lakshmanan and the late
M.L. Vasanthakumari.
This postgraduate in Economics was her college's 'Most
Outstanding Student' for three years in succession. She was
also known to excel in debates, quiz, drama and essay
writing.
But to the world today, she is perhaps one of the best
consolations for the loss of the great Vocalist Masters of
old.
Sudha Raghunathan has performed for Television, Radio and
in concert the world over. One of her special contributions
to Carnatic Music has been her enormously successful
lecture-demonstration sessions. And despite her punishing
schedule, she still finds time to train talented, young
musicians.
Along with her Carnatic Music album releases, Sudha
Raghunathan has also had several devotional music releases.
